Performance
The standard engine for the Renegade is a 2.4L Tigershark MultiAir 2 engine that offers up to 180 hp and 175 lb-ft of torque. If you choose the Trailhawk or the Limited trim, then you get a 1.3L MultiAir2 Turbo I-4 engine, which delivers up to 177 hp and 200 lb-ft of torque. You can see that is slightly less horsepower than the standard engine, but it is turbocharged and provides much more torque. No matter which engine you choose, however, it comes paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission for a smooth and responsive ride.
The 2020 Jeep Renegade comes with 4x2 standard on most models, though 4x4 is available on every trim level. This means you do not have to miss out on four-wheel drive simply because you do not need some of the features of a higher trim. 4x4 on the Renegade includes a Selec-Terrain traction management system that helps keep you in control no matter how rough the road or trail might get.
Interior
The interior features you get in the 2020 Jeep Renegade will depend largely on which trim level you choose, with certain options standard or available at different trims. For example, the standard Sport trim includes air conditioning, a 3-inch black and white driver information display, and a manual 6-way driver’s seat with 4-way front passenger seat. It has a standard interior with a urethane shift knob, 6-speaker audio system, 5-inch infotainment display, and a urethane steering wheel with audio and cruise controls.
Safety
The standard Sport trim of the Renegade includes electronic stability control with electronic roll mitigation, hill start assist, and trailer sway control for towing. It also comes with push-button start, a premium tire pressure monitoring display with individual tire readouts, and advanced brake assist.
